Primary Power — Shapeshifting

When shapeshifting into another object or creature, they acquire the abilities of that form where plausible. They do not take on the behavioural patterns or personality of the form they become. This difference can be used to tell Green Square apart from the object/creature they are imitating.

Additional Power — Enhanced Swimming

Since their original habitat was the ocean, they have obtained an enhanced ability to swim at very fast speeds compared to other objects. They are also able to consume food made for fish (e.g. fish flakes).

Strength

Green Square is able to comfortably lift 939,510,000,000kg and can likely lift more. I'm not sure what their upper bound for lifting is yet.

Weakness

Pillows are exempt from the previous rule. Green Square has extreme difficulty lifting even the lightest pillow.

Division (Fusion)

Like many other objects, Green Square can be cracked into several pieces when they experience a strong force on one of their vertices.
Unlike many other objects, these pieces can act independently as objects. However, these pieces always have a strong desire to combine back together to form Green Square again.
These pieces appear as smaller versions of Green Square with a number on their front just below their eyes.
Each piece uses the same font as Green Square (Coolvetica RG), but each piece uses a different shade of green. See the 'Font' category for the colour hex codes.
Green Square has been divided into at most 6 pieces by Floaty in DPEC 2 Challenge 13. They might be able to be divided into more pieces but neither Green Square nor I want to find the limit.

Fish Friends

Green Square has three other main fish friends known as Red Triangle (Square), Yellow Circle (Rectangle), and Blue Octagon (House-shaped Irregular Pentagon).
Each shape represents an AirportLink Station. RT — International, YC — Domestic, & BO — Mascot.

Internal Systems

Green Square has arms and eyes only. They do not have legs or a mouth.
Green Square consumes food by absorbing it through their surface. Even I am unsure of how they achieve this.
Green Square has an aquarium inside them. If you shake them, you will hear the sound of water sloshing.
Green Square can breathe underwater and on land.

Communication

Green Square can communicate in the following ways:

Via text appearing around them. They don't use this method underwater because their text can be hard to read when distorted by the ocean.
Via emoticons, emojis, and pictograms appearing around them. They prefer to use this method underwater since most other fish understand pictures best.
By broadcasting their voice directly into the mind(s) of the individuals they are speaking to. They are limited to only using phrases and sounds used by announcements on the Sydney Trains network. This method can be useful for people who can't see, but can also be terrifying for others like myself.

Behaviour

Green Square frequently celebrates the anniversary of Green Square station opening (21st of May, 2000).
Green Square often pretends to be Winged Match to fool both Winged Match and Squares.

Biography

Green Square is based on Eastern Sydney’s blind spot for identifying squares. Railway Square is a triangular bus interchange, and the street layout surrounding the entrances to Green Square station is composed of several triangles. Green Square mentions this in my DPEC 2 Challenge 16 entry.
Green Square was originally a fish, they landed directly on the beach to be discovered by Squares.
Squares and Green Square became best friends and later partners whilst collaboratively working on inventions.
Since Ice displayed Red Triangle’s underwater Nitro Gem as a prize for ICC 2, they have been on the hunt for the gem.
Eventually, they returned to just being best friends with Squares after much of Green Square’s time was consumed with learning more about the worlds around them and obtaining the Nitro Gem.
Nowadays, outside of occasional visits when I am on my way to university, I am not really sure what Green Square does most of the time. I'll figure it out soon though.
